Rest in Peace :'(

At the end of 2011, Arfa’s life was also on end. Arfa fell seriously ill on the date 22nd December 2011, when she was reading her 2nd year of A-Levels at Lahore Grammar School. She was admitted by her parents to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) due to Epileptic Seizure caused after a serious cardiac arrest. She was in so critical condition at that time.



Bill Gates, chairman and founder of Microsoft Corporation USA and also an inspiration for Arfa Karim, advised a special group of doctors in USA to direct Arfa’s Doctors. He went for every kind of help for her health. Due to so much critical actions in her health, doctors have decided to shift her to another hospital. At that time, she was on ventilators and bearing so hard life with comma.

On January 2012, Arfa showed some signs of improvement on doctors. Doctors made their parents happy because Arfa’s brain was showing some positive signs at some parts. That was the time when Bill Gates raised his hands for Arfa’s perfect treatment in USA. But, Allah knows very well what to do and when to do.

Arfa died on January 14, 2012 09:50PM (Pakistan Standard Time +5:00GMT) at CMH. Her Namaze-e-Janaza and other important funeral activities were conducted at Cavalry Ground, Lahore at 10AM January 15, 2012. She again awarded by the flag of Pakistan on her coffin and Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr. Shahbaz Sharif attended her funeral. She was buried at her ancestral village Chak 4JB, Ram Dewali, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan.

A great pride of performance in science and technology can never be forgotten by us. That is why; Mr. Shahbaz Sharif changed the name of Lahore Science Park into Arfa Software Technology Park, Pakistan.
